Pediatric Therapy Aide – Danville, VA

Position Description: The Therapy Aide enhances the delivery of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology services at the Center for Pediatric Therapies through providing clerical support, organization of supplies, and customer service.

Hours of Work: This is a part-time position (approximately 12 to 15 hours/week). Sample schedule: Monday through Friday, 3pm to 6pm. 

Attention College Students: Work hours may count towards observation hours necessary for admission to OT, OTA, PT, PTA or SLP degree programs. Work experience in a clinic is expected to improve your qualifications to entry to such as program.

Work Location:  CPT Danville – 175 Deer Run Road, Danville, VA 25450

Therapy Aide Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clerical tasks such as filing and making copies
  • Organization of therapy supplies/materials
  • Customer service, including answering the phone and greeting patients

Therapy Aide Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing professionally
  • Able to work as part of a team to support the professional therapy staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Reliable transportation to/from work
  • Interest in a career as a pediatric therapist preferred
